The 2011 RACT Tasmanian Youth Portraiture Prize boasts an extremely high standard of work this year from some of the state’s youngest artists. A stunning array of two-dimensional mediums have been explored by the 35 finalists selected for this exhibition. The RACT Tasmanian Youth Portraiture Prize opens at the Academy Gallery in Launceston on September 9th where this year’s winner of $5000 and a trip to the Archibald Prize at the Art Gallery of New South Wales will be announced.
