Cardiologist, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (Sydney)
Head of Molecular Cardiology, Centenary Institute
Professor Semsarian is a cardiologist with a specific research focus in the genetic basis of cardiovascular disease. A focus of his research is the investigation and prevention of sudden cardiac death in the young, particularly amongst children and young adults. Up to 10 fit and healthy young Australians die from sudden cardiac death every week.
