Since graduating MFAD from UTAS in 2007, Marisa Molin has spent the most part of 4 years abroad working as a tour guide in both Greece and Spain. Her talk will show some influences from her travels as well as her jewellery, sculpture and public art works. Marisa continues to highlight the Tasmanian wilderness in her jewellery as well as her current sculptural works.
Molin is currently Artist in Residence at Scotch Oakburn and has a solo exhibition at the S.P.A.C.E. gallery showcasing some of her jewellery and large scale cocoon installations created during her Kings Cottage Residency. The exhibition of Molin's work opens at Scotch Oakburn's fiesta on 3pm, 31st March to 25th April 2012.

ArtsForum is a series of FREE public lectures held at the School of Visual and Performing Arts, Academy of the Arts, University of Tasmania, Inveresk. Both UTAS students and members of the general public are welcome to attend. Lectures are presented by staff, visiting scholars from Tasmania, mainland Australia and overseas, industry professionals and artists-in-residence.
