Come along and support this great game of soccer between Launi Allstars Soccer Club (LASC) and AMC international students referred by Captain John Lloyd.
The Launi AllStars Soccer Club (LASC) is a Launceston based soccer club with players from over eight countries. The majority of members and supporters hail from northern African countries and many have arrived in Tasmania through humanitarian processes. Some of the members are current, past and potential students of UTAS. The goal of LASC is to follow the national and global trends of using sport as a catalyst to maximise social inclusion, tolerance and celebration of cultural diversity.
The AMC student team will comprise of students from many regions but particularly the Pacific Islands and the Middle East.
Trophy and medallion presentations will occur at 5.30pm as part of the formal Harmony Day celebrations.
