DANGER:
High stakes assessments and the narrowing of the outcomes of schooling and students’ minds

a public lecture by

Professor David Berliner
Regents’ Professor Emeritus in the College of Education
Arizona State University and a Visiting Distinguished Fellow at the University of Tasmania in 2012

David Berliner is an educational psychologist and author of the bestseller, The Manufactured Crisis. Berliner challenges, among other things, the common belief that high stakes testing is necessary for accountability. He has written or co-authored many books and has also authored more than 200 published articles, reports and book chapters. He is a challenging and provocative commentator and a widely recognised educator.
