Professor Garrett is widely regarded as Australia’s leading commentator on American Politics. A dual citizen of Australia and the US Professor Garrett was born and raised in Canberra completing his undergraduate degree at ANU before completing a PhD at Duke University on a Fulbright Scholarship. He has held appointments at Oxford, Stanford and Yale and served on the New York-based Council on International Relations before returning to Australia. Professor Garrett is one of the most influential political economy scholars of his generation and whose pioneering research has had a profound impact on our understanding of the impact of globalisation on domestic politics.
