Global Education Program

The Faculty of Education's role in the Global Education Program is primarily to raise awareness, develop and extend knowledge and engage educators, so that they in turn can inspire their students to take a positive and active part in their world.  Global Education is a key area – important to educators and the community as a whole – as we consider that it is vital to develop global citizens who can thrive in the globalised and interdependent 21st century world and contribute positively to the future.

Event highlights:

  • Workshops for Teachers 'Becoming a Global Education Teacher' both Primary and Secondary
  • Guest Presenters Nationally and Internationally
  • Open to all teachers/principals

Please note this conference is in conjunction with Spring School.

Students attending the conference during Spring School may qualify for special rate on-campus accommodation of $70.00 for the week.  This is available to students who are attending the conference and undertaking Spring School units ESG731 Teaching & Learning with a Global Perspective and/or ESM734 Issues in Global Education. Please email, attention Andrea McCarron, who will advise on how to receive this special offer.
