In this public lecture Dr Janusz Onyszkiewicz will offer a perspective on the current situation in Europe, especially eastern Europe and the policy positions and activity of Russia in the region under Vladimir Putin.

About Janusz Onyszkiewicz

Dr Onyszkiewicz is currently Chairman of the International Centre for Democratic Transition's (ICDT) International Board of Directors. He is a member of the administration of the Centre for International Relations, Vice-Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Council and the Chairman of the Council of the Institute for 'Bridges to the East' .

From 2004 he has served as the Chairman of the Euro-Atlantic Association Council and is also a member of the Executive Board for the European Leadership Network (ELN)

By way of contrast with his work and activism in the realm of international affairs he is the Chairman of the Polish Alpinism Association - Mountaineering.
