Special School of Creative Arts
Arts Forum (Hunter St) presenstation

In this special Arts Forum presentation, Melissa Shiff and Louis Kaplan will review an exciting collaborative research-creation project supported by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada that constructs a virtual world utilizing the Unity gaming engine to image and imagine I.N. Steinberg’s plans for a Jewish refugee settlement in the Kimberley region of Western Australia against the backdrop of World War II and the Holocaust.

Melissa Shiff is Research Associate at the Sensorium Research Centre for Digital Art and Technology at York University in Toronto.  She is the principal investigator and artistic director of the project.
