Religious and cultural diversity make for a rich and more vibrant community, but can also give rise to tensions when deeply held views and beliefs are in conflict. How should we manage, for example, tensions between the freedom of religion and the right to be free from discrimination on the basis of race or sexuality? Join us for a public forum exploring these issues.

Key Speaker:

  • Ed Santow
    Human Rights Commissioner for Australia

  • Rodney Croome AM
    LGBTI rights activist and academic
  • Very Reverend Richard Humphrey

  • Robin Banks
    Former Anti-Discrimination Commissioner for Tasmania

Facilitated by Professor Richard Eccleston, Director, Institute for the Study of Social Change
