How can art reflect the energies and values of a community? What does it really mean to be 'creative'? How can art have impact on the wider agendas of this island in particular?

The events bring together professional practitioners, researchers and interested community members to discuss and celebrate the many creative activities being pursued by communities across our creative island, the outcomes they achieve, and what to do next.

Creative, progressive communities will talk constructively and passionately about fine art, music, theatre, film, dance, design, futures, presents and dreams.

Speakers:

  • Facilitated by Brett Smith, CEO, Cradle Coast Authority
  • Professor Kit Wise, Director and Head of School, Tasmanian College of the Arts
  • Ellie Ray, Director, Devonport Regional Gallery
  • Scott Rankin, Big hArt
  • Joanna Gair, Makers' Workshop Coordinator, University of Tasmania

Refreshments from 5.00pm.

Proudly supported by the University of Tasmania Alumni in partnership with Ten Days on the Island.
