Canaletto & the Art of Venice is an immersive journey into the life and art of Venice’s famous view-painter. No artist better captures the essence and allure of Venice than Giovanni Antonio Canal, better known as Canaletto.

For this third collaboration between the State Cinema and the University of Tasmania in 2018, Chris Arneaud-Clarke will consider the construction of perspectives in Canaletto’s work and discuss what led to the Venetian painter’s move to London.

This special presentation follows the opening screening of Canaletto and the Art of Venice and is presented by the University’s School of Creative Arts.
