Join us for a night of distinguished cabaret with the inaugural OSSA prize winner, Chloe Evans.

Established in 2018 the OSSA Musical Performance Prize rewards excellence in musical performance and supports a tour focusing on the North, North West and East Coast regions. For this tour Chloe will be accompanied by Melfred Lijauco and Brett Budgeon.

About Chloe

Chloe has just finished her Bachelor of Music at the UTAS Conservatorium of Music, majoring in Classical Voice, where she received the prestigious Jessie Wakefield-Luckman Prize for Voice in 2017. Chloe has been an active member of the Hobart Theatre community, recently playing roles including;  Johanna in Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Heather Duke in Heathers, and Eve/Louise in Ruthless! (Bijou Creative). She has also performed on the Theatre Royal stage in Mary Poppins and Wicked! (The Show Company) and Lucia Di Lammermoor (Opera Van Diemans Land). Other selected credits include Hope in Something’s Afoot (Hobart Rep), The Addams Family (Old Nick), and The Music Man (Guilford Young College).

About the OSSA Musical Performance Prize

Named after Tasmania's highest mountain peak, the OSSA Musical Performance prize is generously provided by an anonymous alumnus of the University of Tasmania. The prize supports a Graduate or Undergraduate student or ensemble in pursuing excellence in musicianship and performance,and underwrites a state-wide performance tour with a special focus on North, North West and East coast regions.
