Latin American Film Festival in Australia is back & coming to Launceston for the first time from 15th November to 5th December.
Presented in partnership with the Latin American Embassies in Australia and the Australian National Centre for Latin American Studies (ANCLAS).
The Embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela have partnered for 14th consecutive year, with a selection of 14 unique films representing Latin America at its finest.
LAFF bring the biggest festival of its kind to cities throughout the country…..First time in Launceston this 2018 .
LAFF is a not-for-profit event, and all screenings are free entry & open to the public.
All films are presented in their original language, with English subtitles.
We are thrilled by the generosity to host the festival in partnership with the University of Tasmania, Australian Maritime College’s auditorium and The Star Theatre.
The Latin American film festival is a great multi-cultural opportunity to promote and enhance understanding of contemporary Latin American art and culture and connect with CALD and main stream communities.
Artistic & dancing performances, Latin American gatherings, opportunity to practice your Spanish and more are part of these cultural parallel events .
