Northern Early Years Reference Group and Partners, B4 Early Years Coalition and the University of Tasmania, invite you to join them for a conversation about Complex Trauma.

Complex Trauma is a psychological disorder that occurs as a result of repetitive, prolonged trauma involving sustained abuse or abandonment by a caregiver of other interpersonal relationship with an uneven power dynamic.

What to expect

  • Dr Elspeth Stephenson will set the scene by defining complex trauma and trauma informed practices. She will introduce Trust Based Relational Inter-vention (TBRI) as an approach to practice.
  • Panel discussion from practitioners working with children and families in Southern Tasmania   
  • Facilitated conversations. Your input and experiences will help to inform frameworks and policy.
  • Networking and collaboration opportunities.
