Big Data: Challenges & Opportunities

Big Data is the term used to describe data sets that are so large or complex that traditional data processing applications are inadequate. In Tasmania, we are fortunate to have a number of unique big data sets we can use to build new models that improve community, environmental and economic outcomes. This session will explore the potential of big data and data visualisation technologies, and how to effectively manage data rights in the delivery of meaningful outcomes.
